Digital Asset Management (DAM) is a publication. There are no accounts, no logins and nothing to buy, which keeps this short.
Short answer: we do not ask you for personal information and there is nothing here to sign up for. The site sets the cookies its platform needs to serve pages, our host keeps standard server logs, and if you email us we keep that email. If you want anything about you removed, write to editors@digital-asset-management-dam.com.
What we do not do
- No accounts. You cannot register, and we do not store profiles.
- No newsletter or mailing list. We do not collect email addresses for marketing.
- No selling or sharing of personal data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
- No advertising network. The site carries no third-party ad tags.
- No payment processing. Nothing here is for sale.
What is collected anyway
Three things, none of which we ask you for.
Server logs. Our hosting provider records ordinary web-server information for every request: IP address, timestamp, the page requested, referring page, and browser user agent. This is how any web server works, and it is used for delivering the site, diagnosing faults and blocking abuse. Retention is set by the host rather than by us.
Cookies. WordPress and the site's theme set cookies needed to serve pages correctly, and a consent banner, where one is shown, records your choice so it does not ask again. If you leave a comment where comments are enabled, WordPress may store your name and site preference in a cookie on your own device so you do not retype them.
Email you send us. If you write to editors@digital-asset-management-dam.com, we keep the message so we can act on a correction or reply. We do not add senders to any list.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.
Third parties
The site runs on commercial web hosting and uses standard WordPress components. Your request therefore passes through our hosting provider, and pages may load fonts, embedded media or other assets served by third parties, each of which will see the request in the ordinary way that serving a file requires.
We do not embed social tracking pixels, and we do not run third-party advertising.
Links out
We link to external sites constantly, because our sourcing policy requires citing primary sources. Those sites have their own privacy practices and we have no control over them. Following a link takes you out of the scope of this policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data an operator holds about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted, and to complain to a data protection authority.
Because we hold almost nothing, the practical answer is usually short. Write to editors@digital-asset-management-dam.com and say what you are asking for. If you have emailed us before and want that correspondence deleted, say so and it will be.
Children
Nothing here is directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated version replaces this page. There is no version history to consult, so if the specifics matter to you, keep your own copy of the version you relied on.
Questions about this policy go to editors@digital-asset-management-dam.com. What the site publishes and how it sources it are covered on editorial standards.
